All Texas hospitals are still required to send a copy of Pre-admission and Admission Hospital Initiated Notice of Non-coverage (HINN) letters to TMF within three days of when the notice is issued. However, a monthly log is no longer required. Please note: HINNs for continued stays are no longer used.

If a copy of the medical record is requested by TMF for review, a copy of the HINN notice needs to be sent with the medical record.
